How it works
- 1
Choose a car
Filter by category, transmission, and supplier. The price you see includes taxes and basic insurance. - 2
Fill in the reservation form
Enter the driver's details exactly as they appear on the driving licence. - 3
Pay with benefits
Choose your benefit card or cafeteria voucher code in the payment options. You can also split the payment – cover part with your benefits and pay the rest by payment card. Alternatively, pay the full amount by payment card. - 4
Pick up the car
Come to the counter of your chosen rental company at the agreed time. Specific pickup requirements (required documents, deposit card type) are always set by the rental company — you'll find them in your reservation details.
Refundable depositPaid in person at pickup, not online
At pickup, the rental company will place a hold on the main driver's card for a refundable deposit (typically 50 zł – 4500 zł depending on the car category). This is not a payment — the money won't be charged, only blocked in case of damage during the rental. Once the car is returned in good condition, the hold is released (typically within 5–10 business days).
FAQ
How do I pay for a car rental?
You can pay with a voucher code bought with points in the cafeteria of our benefit partner. To redeem it, enter the code at checkout and cover any remaining amount with a payment card. A voucher bought in the accommodation section works for car rental, and vice versa.
Is the price in złoty the final price?
The amount you pay online is final, charged in złoty, and won't change after you book. Anything added at the rental counter, such as extras, insurance, the deposit is charged separately by the rental company in the local currency, so what lands on your statement depends on your bank's exchange rate that day.
What is the refundable deposit, and is the money leaving my account?
Refundable deposit is a hold, not an actual payment. The rental company blocks an amount on your credit card at pickup, so you can't spend it while it's held, but you're not charged. Return the car undamaged and it's released, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
What do I need to bring to pick up the car?
The full list is on the car's detail page and your status page. Usually, it includes:
- Your booking confirmation from Booking.com (voucher)
- A valid driving licence for every driver, or an International Driving Permit
- A credit card in the main driver's name
- A passport or government-issued photo ID
How does cancellation work?
Most cars offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup. Cancellation through us is always free as long as you meet the deadline. If you cancel your reservation directly via Booking.com (not through us), the money won't be refunded. Contact us directly.
Can someone else's credit card cover the deposit?
No. The card must belong to the person named as main driver, and only that person can collect the car.
What if my card limit is lower than the deposit?
The counter can refuse to release the car, and that's treated as a no-show, so you don't get the money back. Before you travel: ask your bank to raise the limit temporarily, or pick a car with a lower deposit (the amount is on each listing, and smaller categories are lower).
What does excess mean? Am I liable for that?
Basic cover is included in the rental price and works by capping your liability. The excess is the most the rental company can bill you if the car is damaged. When you return it undamaged, nothing is charged.
Excess does not apply to:
- glass and the windscreen
- wheels, tyres and hubcaps
- the undercarriage and roof
- the interior and upholstery
- keys, documents and items inside the car, such as child seats or GPS units
- fuel contamination, and towing or recovery caused by driver error
Who do I contact when something goes wrong?
Wakacje za benefity handles the payment and create the reservation on Booking.com. Booking.com handles the rental booking itself and anything that happens at the counter or after you return the car. The rental company owns the car, the counter, the deposit and any vehicle charges.
In practice: Wakacje za Benefity handles your booking and payment. From 48 hours before pickup onwards, including anything at the counter or after you return the car, please contact Booking.com.
